I got the first word more easily than I thought but never got your second answer, third row down. Is there a particular dictionary or program you use? If you want to keep them secret, I understand but at 82, I found the last clue very difficult and never found it. Once I got hooked on these games, I became a little nuts when I can’t find a word. Lolol.
Thanks for your help so often.
ugh found TRIATHLON but failed to see ABDUCT. Settled for HANDBOUND-DIACRITICAL instead
HANDBOUND – DIACRITICAL

NYT has absolutely no credibility when in comes to this puzzle the words and what’s worse the compound words that are allowed are ridiculous. This should be a puzzle that a person could do in their lunch hour or coffee break. Not hours spent on a computer looking for answers and cheating .
It’s not required that you solve it in two words. That’s just an extra level of excellence for the masochistic.
