    1. Same and love the efficiency, quite surprised TRICK KNOWABLE wasn’t OA, it’s much easier than the given OA!

    2. Same. Took a while to get to TRICK – KNOWABLE. OA after little out in left field?!
      BACKTRACK
      BACKCRAWL
      ELBOW
      WRINKLE
      CRACKLE
      RACETRACK
      BOWLINE
      BRICK
      BANKABLE
      BANKNOTE
      NOTEABLE….

      1. Love it! Didn’t even think of an E-starter after I got KNOWABLE. I focused on words ending with CK and TRICK was pretty obvious. Very creative solution!

      1. According to OED, knowable is 80 times more likely to be used in modern English (0.8 times per million words) than niblick (0.01 times per million). So we can deduce the person working on this was probably a golfer and maybe Scottish as well!

    1. BROWBEATEN NECKLINE
      For me too.

I thought of KNOWABLE when I walked away for a while but I forgot to plug it in when I came back.

    1. Love it! Didn’t even think of an E-starter after I got KNOWABLE. I focused on words ending with CK and TRICK was pretty obvious. Very creative solution! Couldn’t stop at ELECTRIC, eh? LOL

    1. I found this as well, after fruitless fussing. But then I realized there’s a reasonable case for “Ecowonk” as a word, making my preferred solution INTRACTABLE ECOWONK. Just couldn’t get past that.

  1. OA and I can’t believe that it was. I figured there had to be more efficient solves…and I was right. Spent too much time with WRINKLE, CRINKLE, CRACKLE, ELECTRONIC and ELECTRICIAN. After switching over to BROWNIE, I came across BROWBEATEN.

  2. Trick/knowable. Much more efficient than OA. Played with a lot of “-able” words that were NOT accepted. Like crackable, crownable, crankable, trackable.

    1. Same here. Glad to get TRICK KNOWABLE when I was maybe about to give up; I wouldn’t have got the OA. Was stymied at which -able words were or weren’t ok’d, e.g. EATABLE was, and OWNABLE, Bankable was but not Backable or Trackable etc.

  3. CROWNET – TAILBACK in less than a minute! Don’t really like it but I think it is still a better solution than today’s OA…

  4. ELECTRONICA ⇄ AWAKABLE°
    AWAKABLE° ⇆ ELECTRONICA

    ELECTROWEAK ⇄ KINKABLE°
    KINKABLE° ⇆ ELECTROWEAK

    TRICK—KNOWABLE
    BOWKNOT—TAILRACE
    KNOWABLE—ELECTRICIAN

  5. I went with coming-up-with-random-compound-words strategy, and solved it with BRICKBAT-TOWLINE.
    New words to me.

  6. TAILBONE – ELECTROWEAK
Almost everyone else found much more efficient solutions. But, I guess, it’s unique

  7. Failed today. Tried WRINKLE and CRINKLE but I didn’t even find most of the common words others got. OA is ridiculous (wth is NIBLICK?) but I should have been able to find TRICK-KNOWABLE. 🙁😣
